Clinical Insights to Support an Investment Round
QV Bioelectronics is a medical device start-up developing a treatment for glioblastoma. We worked with the team to obtain opinions from clinicians about the clinical prospects of the treatment. In the absence of clinical data, expert opinion is valuable, and provides prospective investors with a means of de‑risking their investment.
Our activities included:
Identifying clinicians in the UK and USA who were prominent in the treatment of glioblastoma.
Undertaking interviews with those clinicians to understand patient pathways, standard of care, unmet needs, and the clinical potential of the new treatment.
Developing a report summarising the research and describing the likely positioning in the patient pathway of the technology and its attainable price.
This is one of many projects we have undertaken involving working with start-ups to help them obtain expert opinion about their technologies, which can be included in investment brochures, grant applications, and marketing materials.
“Nexcea were excellent to work with, and I highly recommend them. As a very early start-up, we needed to gather insights from clinicians on our innovative approach to treating glioblastoma. Nexcea identified and interviewed key clinicians in the UK and USA, providing us with valuable information on patient pathways, unmet needs, and how our treatment could integrate with current practices.
The feedback was crucial in refining our product development and gave us the validation we needed to successfully raise investment. The process was straightforward, and we gained exactly the insights we were looking for.”
