Documenting the Natural History of a Rare Disease
We worked with the team at Salford Royal Hospital to review the data collected as part of a real‑world data study on the progression of arginase-1 deficiency in adults treated at the hospital.
We helped prepare the manuscript for submission to a medical journal and supported the team with the response to reviewer comments.
Our approach involved becoming familiar with the subject matter via desk research, interpreting the data collected at the hospital, and writing up the study in the format required by the chosen medical journal.
We were able to help the team secure approval for publication from the medical journal. It means valuable information about this rare disease becomes accessible to the global medical community, including those involved in managing patients with arginase-1 deficiency.
This is one of many projects we have undertaken involving collaborating with healthcare professionals on real‑world data studies for publication in the medical press.
“Nexcea’s expertise in manuscript preparation and their ability to interpret our data helped with the successful submission of our study. Their understanding of our research needs was evident from the start. They were always available to assist with revisions and responses to reviewer comments, making the process much smoother for our team. I can recommend their services to anyone seeking support with medical publications.”
