Advancing Antimicrobial Innovations with Vitec Microgenix

Vitec Microgenix is dedicated to creating healthier indoor environments through innovative antimicrobial technologies. Their products are designed to eradicate indoor microbes effectively, contributing to healthier buildings and occupants.

To support the commercialisation of these technologies, Vitec Microgenix participated in the LYVA Labs Microbials Accelerator programme, co-led by Bionow and supported by partners including the Infection Innovation Consortium (iiCON) and the University of Liverpool. This programme provided business support, funding, and mentorship to SMEs developing microbiome, biofilm, and phage technologies.

As part of this initiative, Vitec Microgenix engaged Nexcea to refine their value proposition and business model. Our activities included:

  • Facilitating sessions to explore and define Vitec’s value proposition and business model.

  • Identifying critical gaps in market understanding and validating key assumptions.

  • Identifying relevant experts who could provide strategic insights to help inform Vitec’s commercial thinking.

  • Setting up and facilitating video calls with these experts, attended by both Nexcea and Vitec, to gather insights on market positioning, customer needs, and strategic considerations.

  • Outlining next steps for further insights gathering and prioritising key issues for commercial success.

This structured approach provided Vitec Microgenix with a clearer understanding of its market positioning and the necessary steps to align its innovative technologies with market needs.

“Nexcea’s workshops helped us crystallise our thinking and provided a clear structure for the next steps in our strategic development.”

Scott Perkins, CEO, Vitec Microgenix
